Ayurveda

Ayurveda is often called the sister science of Yoga and translates as “the science of life”.

It is one of the oldest recorded systems of medicine, originating in India, based on long clinical observation and tradition.

At its core, Ayurveda is a practical system for understanding how the body functions and how it falls out of balance, and how we can support it back into steadiness through food, lifestyle, and body therapies.

People usually come to Ayurveda when they are not sleeping well, feeling stressed or anxious, dealing with low energy, digestive issues, pain in the body, or a general sense of imbalance.

This is the work I offer in clinic through hands-on Ayurvedic treatments.

How Ayurvedic treatments support the body

Rather than working on symptoms in isolation, Ayurvedic body therapies work through the nervous system, circulation, and tissue layers of the body.

In practice, people often notice:

  • a drop in physical and mental tension

  • improved sleep

  • stronger digestion

  • less overwhelm and mental fatigue

  • a general sense of being more settled in themselves

These changes happen gradually through repeated treatments and support.

Abhyanga + Marma Therapy

Full body Abhyanga massage with added Marma point therapy.

Marma points are specific sites in the body where tissues meet. They are gently worked during treatment to support circulation, release tension, and ease areas of stagnation.

This extended session allows more time for deeper work and is often chosen for a full reset when the system feels depleted, overwhelmed, or out of balance.
